This is an easy test to test the flexibility of your torso. The test is similar to the Sit and Reach test. For this test you do not need any equipment.

The test consists of the following components:

Procedure

Sit flat on the floor. Place your legs approximately 30 cm apart. Place a measuring tape between your legs with point 0 between your legs and the 38-cm point at the level of your feet. Now try to reach forwards as far as possible with your hands. Measure the number of centimeters.

Make sure you reach forwards in a fluid motion and do not bounce too much in the final position.

Steps

  1. Sit flat on the floor;
  2. Place your legs 30 cm apart;
  3. Place the measuring tape between your legs with point 0 between your legs and the 38-cm point at your feet level;
  4. Now try to reach forwards as far as possible with both your hands. Below are the standard values for men and women.

Result

A good result for the flexibility test for the torso is:

Men = 51 centimeter

Women = 56 centimeter
